10:45 am - Everything all at once
This week can be summed up by "Everything is stressful now and I don't like it". But also, good things have happened, too! Let's start with those:

Dogs are the best things ever. Dog walking is my favourite part of every week. This week, I got to walk a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, who just REFUSED to walk at first. Then the other volunteers told me, "No, really, PULL. Don't look back at him, carry on, he'll follow." We had a great time after that :D He tried stopping a few more times, but I carried on, and half way through he was behaving well enough that I didn't need to keep him so close and could let him go to the end of his lead.

We stopped at the top of the hill for some water, which I needed, and shared with him even though he was probably OK. He didn't seem to mind that I didn't have a water bowl, so had to cup my hand and use that XD Then we had a bit of a rest, and he stayed close for ear scratches. SO CUTE.

I have started watching Xena: Warrior Princess. SO GOOD. SO SO GOOD. BEST DECISION EVER. I have fallen for everything about it. Gabrielle and Xena are the cutest with their hugging, and Xena's fond/amused/loving looks, and Gabrielle's chatter and pluck and standing up to Xena and apologising when she gets it wrong. I don't know if I've been influenced by gifsets I saw on tumblr before watching it, but they are so together and it's beautiful. Ack. I have all sorts of feelings about their relationship. (None of them coherent enough to type out. I have fic ideas though...)

Bad things can be summed up by "Project work is progressing, and that's great, but also means I have to do more things which are new and challenging." The fact that the PhD student said "Hopefully these results will go in a paper" is not helping. I am a BABY UNDERGRAD, I'm only in the lab by myself at the moment because the PhD student has reports to write. I am not convinced that I should be trusted to take measurements alone! Oh well, it'll work out.

I also have a scholarship application to get done for Alberta, which is really stressful. Less so now that I know I don't have to write the research project section, but still, it's making me worry. Applicable skills? Um. I have some, probably. What are they again? (Basically, it'll be all my lab and simulation work, but typing that all out in scientific language so it sounds good is hard.)

Other things include all the deadlines which are approaching (well, they're a month or two away, but there are quite a lot of them for big reports), and then exams. Argh. Fourth year is hard, guys.

*snugs* Thank you for having confidence in me <3 It definitely helps to keep my spirits up when I'm feeling rubbish. I went home this weekend and had a rest, so I feel better able to cope with the things I have to do this week now.

I'm sorry I haven't had much time to chat recently :( How are things going?
